Adventure Quests - Country Navigator DESTINATION

Stretching over a wide range of climatic regions, Chile always has something to offer at anytime of the year. But due to the possible extremes at the two ends, be careful to pick your timing to ensure a good trip.

Southern treasures of Torres del Paine and the Lake District are best visited in the summer months of December through March, though this can be fairly stretched from November to April. While winter is skiing season in some areas, many treks are impassable and too cold.

Northern Chile is tropical bringing rains in summer. Although rains are highly unlikely in Atacama Desert, summer days can be uncomfortably hot. Middle Chile enjoys mild temperate climate and is ideal from spring to autumn (September to April).
